I've now got a product that cannot be run, even in offline mode, without the EOSSDK.dll file, with no refund or fix on the way and Techland have said with regards to the mass criticism they're receiving When contacted, their response was basically fuck you. Techland refuse to revert the update or make it only available for people who didn't purchase the game on Steam. Why does Epic's money take precedence over my money and the product I paid for? I want the game to be deeply integrated with my Steam client, not forced to use GFWL V2 because Epic paid for it to be implemented.Ĭrossplay is frankly a niche thing that's yelled by a vocal minority. Why would I want my game that I paid for, with one of the selling points being Steamworks, to be updated to use an inferior service from a company that I'm actively trying to avoid as a result of their controversial activities.
